Modest Beginnings
Matt Trenkle gains early experience in architecture and construction by joining Elkhorn Area High School's "Building Trades Academy" f
Architect Career Begins
At 18 years old, Matt Trenkle begins architectural apprenticeship / internship under Balestrieri-Kehoe & Associates (Now Kehoe-Henry & Associates), a full service commercial architecture firm in Elkhorn WI. Many school and public building remodeling and addition projects along with a handful of single family homes.
MT Drawing and Design LLC
2004: Residential Design and Drawing firm started and continued until 2007. 7 addition / remodeling projects built and many others designed.
Formal Training
- 2006 Bachelors of Architectural Science: University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Magna Cum Laude; Real Estate and Economics Minors
- 2009 Master of Architecture: Illinois Institute of Technology. Thesis on 'biophilic' design
